What is a Candle of Hope?
This is simply a bag filled with sand and a glowing candle which has been decorated and dedicated to the memory of someone lost to cancer, dedicated in honour of someone on their cancer journey or in celebration of someone surviving cancer. The candles are lit prior to the commencement of the Candle of Hope Ceremony and burn through the night, lighting the way for the Relay participants.
